Second Hand

Cold to warm. Same for the emotions, same for the seasons.

Warm weather is coming sooner than expected. Good or bad?

I would say "You Decide" but the decision has already been made.

The earth will not last much longer. Reduce your carbon footprint by shopping second hand.

Stupid Cupid

Though I may not be Mandy Moore, I still love the movie where a girl becomes a Princess and her aunt is also Mary Poppins....anyone get the reference??

Valentine's Day is one of my least favorite holidays. However, any chance I get to wear these red and pink oxfords, I will take. To make the shoes even more interesting, I added pink socks with red hearts and scalloped details.

Disclaimer: I did not plan this red door being here, it was fate.

Now Trending: Slip Dresses with Turtlenecks

I used to hate turtlenecks but since they have become trendy lately, I decided to try them out again. Now I'm addicted! I love finding new ways to wear turtlenecks. I currently have a red, grey, black striped, and blue turtleneck (can you tell I'm addicted?) I have seen a lot of bloggers lately pairing their turtlenecks with another clothing item that has surfaced again: slip dresses. I love the idea of making lingerie work for daytime or night-out attire! I will definitely wear this combo again and mix and match the pieces with other items in my wardrobe.

all too well

Turtlenecks are the new staple. I paired mine with a black and white jacket with reverse prints. I thought pairing it with a striped turtleneck shirt would be too much but I think it works! I wore my green skinny jeans and added my orange purse as a pop of color and I was out the door.

Tommy Girl

 My Outfit: Sweatshirt-Thrifted; Skirt-Thrifted; Tights-Old Navy; Boots-Thrifted; Necklace-Etsy

My good friend Emma properly introduced me to Tommy Hilfiger. When I say properly, I mean she showed me his aesthetic and all the pieces she loves that he created (not that I had never heard of him before) and I kept wanting more. For her birthday I got her a Tommy Hilfiger sweatshirt because she wanted to be a "Tommy Girl." After that, I continued to look for one for myself and stumbled upon it at a local Goodwill. I was beyond thrilled! We are now both honorary "Tommy Girls" and I am happy to share this new love for this designer with one of my best friends!

I paired my sweatshirt with an A-line skirt, burgundy tights, and cut-out booties. My outfit reminds me of a prep school uniform and I kind like that! I will now embrace my Chilton way of life :)

Having confidence is key. I, like most young adults, am not that confident in myself. I'm not always confident in the way I look, the way I feel, or when I talk. Wearing this outfit took a lot of confidence, especially these boots. I have been wanting over-the-knee boots for almost a year now and I finally snagged a pair on sale toward the end of the summer. This was my first time wearing them and I love the outfit combination. I don't love that I feel uncomfortable or scared to wear what I want because most students on campus wear sweatpants and t- shirts. You don't see people dressed up all the time. Even students in my major wear leggings and sweatshirts to class everyday. That is another topic for another day, but location helps with my confidence. I would be comfortable wearing this outfit in a more creative atmosphere.

Well now that I got all my feelings out, I really do love this outfit. I like the chicness of the envelope skirt and the warmth from the sweater. I like the simple necklace that ties it all together. Over-the-knee boots are hard to style, but I can't wait to wear them this winter.
