Now Trending: Slip Dresses with Turtlenecks

I used to hate turtlenecks but since they have become trendy lately, I decided to try them out again. Now I'm addicted! I love finding new ways to wear turtlenecks. I currently have a red, grey, black striped, and blue turtleneck (can you tell I'm addicted?) I have seen a lot of bloggers lately pairing their turtlenecks with another clothing item that has surfaced again: slip dresses. I love the idea of making lingerie work for daytime or night-out attire! I will definitely wear this combo again and mix and match the pieces with other items in my wardrobe.

My Outfit: Turtleneck-Aeropostale; Slip Dress-Target; Tights-Target; Booties-Thrifted; Necklace-Forever 21

Now Trending: Adidas

Adidas: the new tennis shoe craze.
Classic yet comfortable, these shoes can easily take you from day to night. Pair with a t-shirt during the day, and change to a flowy tank for the night. To customize your sneakers, add fun socks like I did, or change the shoelaces. Make the trend work for you while letting your personal style shine through!

Now Trending: Glitter Hair

I recently saw this hair style on a morning talk show and I just had to recreate it! It is perfect for a night out on the town or a New Year's Eve party :) It definitely gives your outfit an unexpected and unique touch.

All you need is:

-Glitter
-Hair Gel (I didn't have any hair gel so I used Petroleum Jelly. Just to warn you, it kind of makes your hair a little greasy looking)

From there you take the hair gel/petroleum jelly and spread it on your hair using your fingers and then sprinkle the glitter in the palm of your hand. Using your other hand, sprinkle it on your head and voila! It's that simple :)

{Blogmas 12.17.15}

Lipstick is a simple and classy way to change up my everyday makeup routine. It makes me look mature and pulls my whole outfit together.

I recently purchased this Revlon Lipstick called "Plum Baby" number 467 and I love it. I couldn't choose between a brown color or a purple color and I am happy I went with the purple.  Although, it really isn't a definite purple, more of a mix between brown and purple.

This color is perfect for the winter time! It adds depth to my makeup look and is unexpected, for me anyways, because I normally just wear chap-stick.

Now Trending: Nude Eye Makeup

Neutral eye make up is a classic and chic look. When I saw that Maybelline came out with a Blushed Nudes eye makeup pallet, I just had to get my hands on one and let me tell you that was harder than you think! I went to so many stores searching for one! If you want to try out this trend, the pallet was only about $10; a very inexpensive way to change up your everyday make up look!

I used the top right three colors for these pictures.

I placed color number one all over my eyelid and number two by my eyebrow.

I then placed color three in the crease of my eyelid and blended it out.

For the last step, add black eye liner and mascara and you are set!

Now Trending: Ombre/Balayage Hair

If you haven't noticed, I changed my hair! It has been the same way for the last 4 or more years and it was time for a change. Pictured above are three celebrities with ombre hair and the last one has balayage hair. I was unfamiliar with the term balayage until I recently went to the hair salon. I asked my hair stylist to give me ombre hair and she said "Oh you mean balayage?" I went along with it and the next thing I know is some of my ends were lighter and some of the front of my hair was lighter as well. I absolutely LOVED how it turned out! It looks a lot more natural than the ombre and I would definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Here is a website describing how the two hairstyles differ:

Now Trending: Floral Crowns

Flower crowns were a summer staple last year and they are making a return this year as well. I decided to jump on the bandwagon and purchase one myself (of course you can always make one too)! I love the color choice of Selena Gomez's flower crown as well as Keira Knightley's. However, when I think of floral crowns I think of bohemian style which Vanessa Hudgens completely embodies. But floral crowns don't always have to be bohemian. They can also be sweet and romantic if a pastel colored crown is paired with a white or cream dress. For my look, I wanted the floral crown to be the focal point of my outfit. Therefore, I decided to keep my outfit casual and I paired the crown with a simple t-shirt and denim shorts.

My Outfit: Floral Crown-Charming Charlie; Shirt-H&M; Shorts-Thrifted; Sandals-Target
