A Weekend in My Life: Chicago Style Max

I recently spend a weekend in Chicago for Style Max. This is an event where boutique or business owners come to purchase clothing, accessories, and more at wholesale to sell in their stores. I worked with the company Koastal Konnection and I had such a great experience I wanted to share it with you all!

The beautiful view from our hotel room!

Style Max was held in this building. Some showrooms are located here permanently, but others just come for this event. This building actually takes up a whole square block in Chicago! It's huge!

This is the brand I worked with!

We were able to wear their clothing pieces to help showcase our favorites. Of course I went for a textured coat!

New friends! I worked with these awesome girls the whole weekend which made the experience so much better.

My mom and grandma were actually in Chicago the same weekend I was so of course we had dinner together! I love them so much and I didn't want them to leave.

I was so excited when me and a friend stumbled upon Magnolia Bakery. It was on my list of things to visit while in the city, but I didn't think it would happen. The bakery was decorated for Halloween and it was just so cute. For dessert, I got a pumpkin chocolate brownie and a sugar cookie with Halloween sprinkles. They were both so delicious. I would highly recommend going here when you can.

This moment was very special to me. I love the bean and I visit it about every time I am in Chicago. This time was different though. I was able to see it at night. It mirrored all the lights from the building on it's shape. It was beautiful. That night was also pretty warm and had a slight breeze, perfect weather. A friend and I just sat there for awhile to take it all in.

This experience was not perfect, but it was a positive experience. I appreciate the opportunity I had to learn more about the wholesale aspect of the fashion industry and I'm thankful for all the contacts I made in doing so.

A Trip To: Harry Potter Studio Tour London, England

This was my favorite exhibit I saw in London. I absolutely love Harry Potter and I didn't think we would be able to go to the studio tour but our professor wanted to check it out and about half of the group we went with wanted to as well. Therefore we all bought tickets and went! I will admit I almost cried when I first saw the studio because of all the history it has, growing up with the movies and books, and all the magic that was made there (pun intended)!
