A Walk Around Town

My Outfit: Top-Target; Shorts-Old Navy; Bracelet-A Gift; Shoes-Nike

Today I went on a walk around town. It was very warm outside, hence the shorts. I didn't want to just wear athletic shorts and a t-shirt like I normally would. I wanted to look nicer and give inspiration to those of you out there wanting to dress up tennis shoes. To me, this was the perfect outfit because it was breathable and comfortable. While walking around, I found this beautiful bridge that had two locks on it and it reminded me of the famous bridge in Paris, Pont des Arts. I dream of visiting that bridge, and the rest of Paris, because it seems so magical!

Modern Day Audrey Hepburn

My Outfit: Shirt-Aeropostale; Skirt-Charlotte Russe; Necklace-Forever 21; Sunglasses-Pac Sun; Sandals-Target

This one reminds me the most of Audrey.

Audrey Hepburn is one of my all time favorite actresses. The first movie I saw that she acted in was Breakfast at Tiffany's. I was younger and just in awe of her outfits and the sweetness to her voice. I loved how classic she dressed and how gentile she was to everyone and everything. I was thinking about her when I pulled out these vintage inspired cat-eye sunglasses to wear this morning. I thought they complimented my outfit nicely. I mixed girly and grunge together and I love how it turned out. Mixing styles gives you so many options on how to wear each item and it changes your personal style so you keep everyone on their toes!

Vintage Vest

My Outfit: Dress-Thrifted; Vest-Local Boutique; Sandals-K-Mart

It was just by coincidence that I spread my vest out like I had wings and I looked at my shadow and felt like a butterfly! It would be wonderful to fly but I need fairy dust to do so. I love the mix of fabric and crochet and the vintage feel of this vest. Vests are my new staple for the summer.  I wore this outfit to the mall in search of a summer job. One place I applied to called me to set up an interview and I hope it goes well!

Let me know in the comments what your favorite staple is for the summer!

Edgy but Girly

"I dream my painting, and then I paint my dream." - Vincent Van Gogh

For this shoot, I found a cool wall with colorful pictures painted on it. Near this wall was a healthy food store and I tried my first açaí bowl (last picture). It was AMAZING and the colors of the strawberries and bananas also matched my outfit! For my outfit, I wore a black, white, and red plaid shirt. I paired it with a light acid washed capris pant that have several rips all down the leg. For a girly touch, I added ruffly socks that also have a sheer polka dot panel on them as well.

Spring Awakening

Spring is one of my favorite seasons. I love the blooming flowers and hearing the birds singing. It just helps push me through the last few days I have of school! While walking around campus to look for a place to take pictures, I first smelled lilacs and when I saw them, I ran straight towards them! They were my favorite flowers growing up because we have a lilac bush at the end of our driveway and it reminded me of home. Therefore, I just had to take pictures with them! For today's outfit, I wore my favorite top from Target that of course has flowers on it (surprise surprise). I paired it with a long crochet cardigan that goes with almost everything, and my distressed skinny jeans. I once again wore my silver braided sandals and I put my hair up in a braided bun. This outfit was very easy to put together and was comfortable to wear!
